Department of Textile Engineering

The Department of Textile Engineering at Ege University is one of the pioneers of textile engineering education in Türkiye, with its well-established history and strong academic staff. Since its establishment, it has been educating engineers who meet international standards and contribute to shaping the textile and apparel industry.

The language of instruction in our department is 100% English. Our students receive both theoretical and practical education in areas such as yarn, weaving, knitting, dyeing and finishing, apparel technologies, and technical textiles. The modern laboratory infrastructure of our faculty provides students with opportunities to develop innovative projects and gain experience through collaborations with industry.

The department also stands out with its international achievements. In 2024, it ranked 26th in the world, representing Türkiye at the highest level in the field of textile engineering.

Our graduates take roles in all stages of the textile and apparel industry; in R&D centers, design and production companies, quality control laboratories, and global brands, contributing to the sector with innovative approaches.
