Textile Engineering

Textile Engineering Department was founded in 1966 as Textile High College. Then in 1971 was joined to Ege University, under the name of State Academy of Architecture and Engineering. At the beginning of 1978 this unit was changed into a Textile Faculty, which was then transferred into Engineering Faculty in 1982. Textile Engineering is a discipline, which aims to process textile raw materials with different techniques, and where the researches and developments of these new techniques are done. 

Textile Industry is one of the main branches of economy and the aim of our Textile Engineering Department is to train and to grow up Textile Engineers, who are equipped with theoretical and practical know-how, towards the industrial requirements.
