Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Ege University was established in 1994 within the Faculty of Engineering and continues its education and research activities at the undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral levels across six main disciplines.

The language of instruction in the department is 100% English. Our students, equipped with a strong foundation in mathematics and physics, specialize in areas such as electronics, communications, signal processing, embedded systems, artificial intelligence, biomedical engineering, electrical machines, power electronics, and energy systems.

In 2022, the department achieved a first in Türkiye by establishing the Low and High Voltage Grounding Field and the Electrical Installations Laboratory.

Modern research laboratories within the department (Photonics, Nanotechnology, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communications, Biomedical, and more) provide our students with the opportunity to transform their theoretical knowledge into practice.

Graduates of Electrical and Electronics Engineering successfully take roles in many national and international companies, technology firms, the communications sector, energy generation and distribution organizations, health technologies, and leading universities around the world.
