Department of Mechanical Engineering

The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ege University was established in 1994 within the Faculty of Engineering and has been educating qualified engineers needed by both our country and the world since its establishment.

The language of instruction in the department is 100% English. Our students receive comprehensive education in core engineering areas such as machine design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, manufacturing technologies, automation, and energy systems.

Modern research and education laboratories provide students with the opportunity to transform their theoretical knowledge into practice, while supporting R&D and innovative projects as well as an entrepreneurial culture. Through Erasmus+ and other exchange programs, our students gain a global perspective and have the opportunity to collaborate with different universities and research centers.

Graduates of the department are employed in many national and international sectors, particularly in automotive, energy, home appliances, defense industry, manufacturing technologies, and consulting firms, contributing to industry with innovative solutions.
