Department of Civil Engineering

The Department of Civil Engineering at Ege University began its educational activities within the Faculty of Engineering in the 1994–1995 academic year. Our department aims not only to educate engineers with strong technical knowledge but also to train leading engineers equipped with a managerial vision. For this purpose, courses on business management have been included in the curriculum for the first time in Türkiye alongside civil engineering education.

The language of instruction in the department is 100% English. Our students have the opportunity to specialize in core areas such as structural engineering, geotechnics, transportation, water resources, construction materials, and construction management. Through modern laboratories, our students have the opportunity to transform their theoretical knowledge into practice, while interdisciplinary projects and international exchange programs enable them to gain a global perspective.

Our graduates take roles in infrastructure and superstructure projects, public and private sector organizations, consulting firms, research centers, and international construction companies, contributing to significant projects both in Türkiye and around the world.
