INTERNSHIP
As part of their undergraduate education, students of the Faculty of Engineering are required to complete a compulsory internship in accordance with the duration and requirements specified in the curriculum of their respective departments.
To ensure that all internship procedures are completed accurately and on time, please follow the steps below.
Compulsory Internship Procedures
1. Review the Internship Requirements
Check your department’s website for the internship duration and type, eligible workplaces, application deadlines, internship procedures and principles, and current announcements.

2. Determine Your Internship Workplace and Dates
Contact an institution or company that meets your department’s internship requirements and determine your internship start and end dates.
3. Complete the Internship Application Form
Complete the current Internship Application Form in full, obtain all required signatures, and have the form signed and stamped by an authorized representative of the institution/company where you will complete your internship.
4. Obtain Approval from the Department Internship Committee
Submit the form approved by the workplace to your Department Internship Committee within the timeframe and according to the procedure announced by your department.
You must not start your internship before obtaining the approval of the Department Internship Committee.
5. Check Your Insurance Registration
Approved applications are forwarded to the Faculty Internship Office for the required insurance procedures.
Before starting your internship, check your SGK employment registration document via e-Devlet.
You must not start your internship before your insurance registration has been completed.
6. Prepare Your Internship Documents
Obtain the documents required by your department, such as:
- Internship report/logbook
- Internship evaluation form
- Attendance sheet
- Survey/questionnaire
- Other required documents
7. Complete Your Internship
During your internship, comply with the workplace rules and regulations, including occupational health and safety and confidentiality requirements.
Prepare your internship report regularly in accordance with the guidelines specified by your department.
8. Report Any Changes Promptly
If there is any change in your internship workplace or dates, if you are unable to start your internship, or if your internship is terminated before completion, inform both the Department Internship Committee and the Faculty Internship Office without delay.
9. Complete Your End-of-Internship Documents
Have the required documents signed and, where necessary, stamped by the authorized workplace representative.
Make sure that the Workplace Internship Evaluation Form is submitted according to the procedure specified by your department.
10. Submit Your Documents to Your Department
Submit your internship report and all other required documents within the deadline and according to the submission procedure announced by your department.
11. Check Your Internship Result
Check the internship result announced by the Department Internship Committee.
If any documents are missing or require revision, complete the necessary corrections within the specified period.
